Funky Fluff is a fairly new cloth diaper company. It was created by two work-at-home-moms (WHAMs) based in Toronto Ontario, Canada. Funky Fluff sells stay-dry and bamboo 3-in-1 cloth diapers, boosters and soakers, double pocket wet bags and diaper pail liners.

Funky Fluff products are designed in Canada and made in China. Here is what they have to say about their Chinese manufactures: (Taken from www.funkyfluff.ca)

We engaged in extensive research and interviewed a number of potential candidates before our chosen partner was selected. We based our decision on a number of factors including quality of materials and workmanship, safety of materials used for production, manufacturing affordability, working conditions and fair treatment of workers manufacturing our products, understanding of our vision and communication channels, just to name a few. We were very selective and strict during the selection process.
 
Our chosen manufacturer offers comfortable, spacious and air conditioned working condition for their small staff. Workers are paid considerably more than the required wage, have an opportunity to earn bonuses, get plenty of paid days off and are never required to work overtime unless they chose to do so themselves. All employees have a minimum of 3 years experience in their trade and student workers are never hired. Safety training as well as safety drills are conducted regularly. We are very confident that our manufacturing company is managed well, regularly maintained and safe for their employees.

Our manufacturer has been a very close partner in the long and complicated process of getting our product to the high standard that we desired and we consider them a knowledgeable resource and an important member of our team. Our own children wear these diapers and we would never put them in any product that we didn’t feel comfortable with.

• Smaller soaker has 2 layers of microfiber and 1 layer of stay-dry suede cloth.
• Large soaker has 4 layers of microfiber and 1 layer of stay-dry suede cloth.
• Soakers can be snapped into the top and/or bottom of the diaper shell  to keep them in place for mobile babies and toddlers and when snapped in at both ends create an All In One system.
• Funky Fluff soakers agitate out in the wash even when snapped in at one end of the diaper.
• The soakers may also stay attached to the diaper while in the wash (although at times they do separate from the shell).
• Soakers all have Funky Fluff labels.

{My Review}

 When I first heard about Funky Fluff, I was immediately intrigued. I had never heard of them and was surprised that they were a Canadian company. I love supporting fellow Canadians. When I read more about them and their 3 in 1 design I knew I had to try Funky Fluff.

I was able to choose the color combination I wanted for the review and immediately chose the purple diaper with green belt. I have been wanting a purple diaper for my son for a long time. I love purple but did not want him to look too "girly" in it. The green snap belt makes it a fantastic choice for both boys and girls. All of Funky Fluff color combos are gender neutral actually. I was also sent a green double pocket wet bag to review.

My first impressions of the company were/are great. The products were shipped immediately and made it to my house within days. Another great thing about buying within your own country. No border delays.

Kathy, one of the co-founders of Funky Fluf responded to my emails right away and was adamant about me taking my time with the review and trying all of the diaper features thoroughly.

I am very impressed with this diaper. First of all I love the name, Funky Fluff is something that does not resemble other diaper company names. Secondly, the 10 different color combos are fantastic.

I love the fact that there are so many ways to use one diaper. The majority of my diapers are pockets which I like but it is nice to have the option to change if you want.

Hip snaps are a must in my book and these work great. Although I am not sure how much longer the hip snaps will be snap-able for my son. They snap at the largest setting, when his hips get bigger the hip snaps may rub against his skin since they will not be able to be snapped in.

Having soakers that agitate out on their own has rapidly become one of my favorite features of pocket diapers especially since my husband never remembers to unstuff the diapers before tossing into the diaper pail. 

My favorite way of using the Funky Fluff is to snap the small soaker in the front and lay the large soaker on top and snap into the back. This way everything stays in place but also gets washed well without extra handling by me. Day time use does not require the small insert.

Over night the diaper worked great. I only had leaking the first night which was caused by not having the waist tight enough for my little belly sleeper.

I am very impressed by their thoroughness and responsibility when employing a Chinese manufacturer (as seen above). The factory seems well run and employees treated fairly. Funky Fluff's attention to the manufacturing conditions is the best I have read about from any cloth diaper company with products made in China. 

Funky Fluff has a decent price point as well. A stay-dry 3-in-1 with two soakers, like I reviewed, costs $17.99. I would definitely pay this price for another Funky Fluff diaper considering all of its features.

The Double Pocket Wet Bag worked great as well. I love that each pocket is waterproof which seems to be rare with wet/dry bags. Both pockets are very roomy and can easily fit 10 diapers. I prefer wet bags such as these with the space for a whole day trip. I do not want to have to carry extra wet bags with me when I am out of the house for long periods. It is my go-to wet bag for sending to the babysitter's while I am at work. It washed well with no change to the PUL or zippers. The Funky Fluff tag did start to come off of the bag after multiple washings but this does not effect the performance of the bag at all. These large wet bags are only $10.99 which I believe is a great price.

I have and will recommend Funky Fluff to my friends and family.
