{My Review}

I just started using reusable cloth pads full time during my postpartum time. I used them a little during a couple of pre-pregnancy cycles and one of the things I did not like was having to keep my pads stashed away in a cupboard and having to put the used ones in a wetbag on the floor.  It just didn't seem to be a very efficient and practical way to use mama cloth.

Green Bumkin has solved this problem. Amy from Green Bumkin creates custom hand-made hanging wet/dry mama cloth bags. You can choose the size, fabric, zippers and snaps to have a completely unique bag.

I really like the design of the bag and was able to choose the green and pink fabric myself.

I love that the mama cloth bag has two handles with snaps for hanging in your bathroom. You can hang it on your toilet paper dispenser or like I did, from my towel rack in front of my toilet.

The front dry pocket is for storing your clean pads and the top waterproof pocket is for storing your used pads until wash day.

The only problem I have is that the mama cloth bag is not big enough for all of my postpartum pads. They are much bigger than average pads being between 11 to 14 inches long. I can only fit a couple of that size in the front dry pocket. A couple more will fit inside the wet pocket as it is deeper.

A larger size, close to their hanging kitchen wet/dry bag size, would be ideal for postpartum pads. For a regular cycle if you don't have many heavy/overnight pads, the mama cloth bag would work well. For my normal cycles I only need light pads or liners so the mama cloth bag will be great for when my cycles return.

The wet/dry bag is machine washable, which is very convenient. I just open the bag, empty out the used contents and throw the bag in with my sons' cloth diapers. You do need to remember to take out the clean pads from the dry pocket when washing the bag. You can dry in the dryer but Green Bumkin recommends hanging to dry to extend the life of the PUL lining.

The Green Bumkin wet/dry bag is a great accessory for anyone who uses reusable cloth pads or family cloth. You can keep all of your pads contained and out of sight. The custom options are great. You can choose the size you need depending on the number and size of your pads and you can even get fabric to coordinate with your bathroom colors.

  1. I love the hanging straps! I have never owned a mama cloth wet bag, despite using mama cloth for over a year. I love that you get to pick your own fabric for the bags.

  2. I love that this can hold both dirty and clean pads. I have to have two right now and it ends up taking a lot of space. The hanging straps are also a bonus
