{My Review}

First of all, I love that Mother's Choice Products is a Canadian company and that NaturzAire deodorizers are made in Canada and all natural.

I received the set of two NaturzAire deodorizers for review. I started using these as soon as they arrived in my oldest son's pails. He has two in his room, one pail for cloth diapers and a little garbage that I place disposable diaper liners and disposable wipes in. I place the NaturzAire pouches underneath the pail liner and garbage bags.

His pails are plastic and have had a terrible odor to them after being used for almost two years. The plastic has sucked up all the nasty odors so I knew it would be a good test for these deodorizers!

I left them in there for a week the first time. When I removed the pouches and sniffed inside the pail (I was brave, I know) the odors were greatly diminished. They was still some bad smell but I would say it was 60% less after a week.

The pouches themselves stank terribly of dirty diapers so they definitely absorbed the pail odors.

I placed the pouches outside in the sun to recharge.

I had to leave them outside for a week or more to get the nasty smells out of them. Apparently they will recharge quickly in the sun but I figured they would not absorb more odors if they still had odors trapped inside. I'm not sure it that is correct or not but it was my logic.

I have continued to use them for months by periodically putting them back outside for a few days to recharge. Sometimes they are outside longer than others due to not having many sunny days in a row.

They have reduced the smells in the diaper pails and in effect reduce them in my son's room. The odors are not completely eliminated but since the pails are constantly being refilled with stinky diapers, it is an unending battle for these deodorizers.

  1. I could really use a set of these! I have my upstairs diaper pail in the closet and the smell can seep out of the pail into the very small space, especially in the summer!
