{My Review}
The Miracle Blanket offers a 100% guarantee to stop colic and help babies sleep! It is the only company I have seen that offers this. I was very excited to test it out on my newborn.
First of all, the Miracle Blanket is very well made, it has been machine washed and dried many times and is in perfect condition. This is a very important aspect for me as babies spit up or have leaky diapers often. Any blanket that is going to be in contact with a baby for any length of time must be durable.
It has a structure different from any other swaddler I have seen. It has arm flaps that go behind the baby's back keeping the arms secured straight at the baby's sides, a pouch for the feet and two long flaps that wrap around the baby.

| Two arm flaps, a foot pouch and two flaps for swaddling |
Honestly, at first I did not like that my son's arms would be stuck down by his sides and not up by his mouth. It felt like an unnatural position to me. I felt like I was putting him in a straight-jacket. After reading all of the reasons why this is a good position in the FAQs on the Miracle Blankets website, I changed my mind. Newborn babies rooting reflex is so strong that if anything (their hands, a blanket) touches their cheeks they will wake and want to nurse. These leads to many night wakings.
I never really got the hang of regular swaddling, I could never get it snug enough. The arm flaps and two separate swaddling flaps of the Miracle Blanket made it easy to wrap snugly with little effort.
It does take some getting used to. I had to read the instructions on the package a few times to remember all of the steps. It would be great if the instructions were printed or sewn onto the actual blanket so you wouldn't have to search for the package when you need to use it. Once you have the steps memorized it doesn't matter but the first few times takes practice. Watch my video review to see the steps.
I used the Miracle Blanket on my son for the first month after birth. He did sleep well wrapped in it. Five hours straight as a newborn. Luckily, he does not have colic and continued to sleep well on his own. I stopped swaddling him after a month because he started sleeping very well without it. I am actually amazed how long he sleeps, at 2 months old he often sleeps eleven hours straight! My first son was up every 2 to 3 hours for a year. So I know how lucky I am. *Fingers crossed*
After I filmed the video review I realized that I must give the Miracle Blanket a more thorough review. I mean it GUARANTEES to stop colic and help babies sleep. I had to test this out.
I lent the carrier to my best friend who's little girl is only 10 hours older than my son. We were in the hospital at the same time! Her baby has been having trouble sleeping and has been having digestive issues since birth. My friend is breastfeeding and has cut out all dairy and beef from her diet to try to ease her baby's pain. The baby was crying all day and night and no one was sleeping. Her daughter has colic as well as dairy/bovine intolerance or allergy.
I really wish I would have thought to give her the Miracle Blanket sooner! After two months of being up most of the night every night the baby started sleeping 7 hours straight with the Miracle Blanket!
It was not a fluke either, it has been a week and she is still sleeping well. Seven hours straight every night starting from the first time she was swaddled with the Miracle Blanket. My friend and her husband LOVE this blanket. Their daughter is very strong and could break out of a regular swaddling blanket easily. The arm flaps that the Miracle Blanket has, has enabled them to keep her snugly swaddled all night long.
I am so happy that this blanket has help her whole family. The parents and baby are getting the sleep they need and the little girl is much happier and calm during the day as well.
The Miracle Blanket's guarantee is legitimate. If your baby has colic or does not sleep well then give it a try. There is no risk. If the blanket does not help, you can send it back and get a full refund including shipping costs! You can even get a refund if it gets damaged within 4 months. This is an amazing guarantee.
I definitely recommend the Miracle Blanket for any new parent. Give it as a shower gift or make the day and NIGHT of a friend or family member who's baby is suffering with colic and not sleeping. It costs less than $30 and I am sure every one's sleep is worth way more than that!

i like that it will hold up to a lot of washes and it eases fussiness in colicky babies.
ReplyDeleteI like that if you follow the directions it pretty much guarantees a good swaddle. I have always just used homemade recieving blankets to swaddle my babies but this might be easier.

I love their guarantee of working to soothe a colicky baby! My daughter wasn't colicky, but I don't know if my future babies will be. This would be incredible to have!
ReplyDeleteI love this swaddle. My little ones always loved being swaddled and I love that this blanket has such a great guarantee. The 4 month guarantee for damages is nice too
ReplyDeleteI love that there are arm flaps to keep baby arms at their side, keeping arms down is always the hardest part of swaddling!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely be investing in these for baby #2! Great review!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed that it guarantees to stop colic. I really could have used this blanket with my son!

ReplyDeleteWow - this sounds like a great product! I learned that arms at the face encourage waking because of the rooting reflex. Makes so much sense but I never thought about it that way!

This looks awesome! I like the guarantee to reduce colic.

ReplyDeleteI would love this swaddle. My daughter loved being all squishied but I've heard and read amazing things about the miracle blanket (Kelly Crow)

Wow, your review is so convincing! It's pretty amazing that they guarantee to help colic! We used SwaddleMes with our newborn which helped some but she still seemed to have problems sleeping. This one seems to swaddle them so securely.

Both of our children have/do sleep best when swaddled. We've used plain old blankets and other swaddlers w/ velcro, but never anything like this one. Both of my kids are pros at busting out their arms, so I wonder if they'd hate, or maybe love, this one ;) Nikole Homoroc
ReplyDeleteI love how the arms are near the baby's side, rather than in front of the baby like most swaddling blankets. Also, Thanks so much for the video, it helps me vision it a lot better than the pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe are still waking up every 2-3 hrs and really love to try this out!

I like how easy it seems to wrap and how durable the fabric is. Would love to try it out. Brittany Farber
