Montana Solar Creations Wooden Teether #Review

Montana Solar Creations is a family owned and operated shop based in Missoula, Montana. The energy used for sewing and crafting is offset by the array of solar panels on their family home. Their shop hand-makes and sells: fitted cloth diapers, cloth nursing pads, cloth napkins/wipes, wool dryer balls, wooden teether toys, and even buttons made of antlers. Montana Solar Creations uses upcycled materials in many of their items.

Montana Solar Creations, Wooden Teether, Review

{My Review}

I have been wanting to get my son a wooden teether for quite some time. He has so many plastic/rubber toys and I am really trying to move my family towards more natural products. I am very excited for him to have an all natural wooden teether toy from Montana Solar Creations.

My 7.5 month old now has 4 teeth so he has been doing a lot of biting and chewing. It feels good to be able to give him something natural and chemical free to chew on.

The teether is of very good quality. It is sanded completely smooth. No need to worry about splinters or anything. It is definitely made of hard wood. My son has been biting it for weeks and there are no bite marks or dents.

I love the design of this teether. The owl is super cute. The designs are burnt into the wood so you do not need to worry about paint coming off in your child's mouth. The designs are on both sides as well.

It is also very easy for him to hold in one hand or two. If babies can't hold it they can't chew on it! He loves to chew on the little owl ears, which are just the right shape, easy to bite without being pointy.

The price of the wooden teethers is $10.95. I find that is a very reasonable price for a HANDMADE teether toy and would spend that amount easily to buy my baby or a friend's a natural teether from them.

I love that Montana Solar Creations uses solar power to offset the energy they burn by crafting. That is such a good idea. It is great to support businesses that are environmentally minded and actually take steps to help the planet.

I would definitely buy other products from this shop in the future. I already have my eye on a pair of WOOL backed cloth nursing pads. So ingenious!

  1. Love wooden teethers! I wish I would have gone that route with my daughter much earlier in the game. She's kind of guided me herself to the fact she prefers wood over the plastic options. Love the shape options and the fact there's no additives!
